Radadent is a portable noninvasive physiotherapeutic device which uses weak intensity electromagnetic emission.
Its main function is energy-informational (EI) self- management of conditions of the mucous membranes, the oral cavity, teeth, and gums, and it causes no discomfort during its operation. Simplicity and convenience in the use of the device place it in the company of such standard objects of family and personal hygiene as the thermometer, electric razor, and toothbrush.

Basic principles of operation
The operation of the device is based on a combined action on the mucous membranes by the EHF (extremely - high frequency) EM waves, which are the EM waves in the millimeter length band, the IWT (information-wave therapy) mode and UV (ultraviolet) emission.
The IWT mode operates as a bio-feedback mode: after the device is turned off, it emits recorded information in a passive (autonomous) mode as an extremely low-level background resonance emission. This recorded information contains electronic copies of the pathogenic factor in the oral cavity, and it adaptively suppresses this pathogenic factor. The EHF waves improve microcirculation in the mucosa and decreases the tendency to thrombogenesis in small blood vessels, which always occurs with inflammatory processes. The normalization of the rheological properties of the blood in the microcirculatory bed contributes to an improvement in oxidation-reduction processes, correction of humeral and cellular immunity; it activates the production of endorphins in the tissues, improves the state of vegetative structures and endocrine formations, and contributes to healing of metabolic syndrome. In the oral cavity, this leads to an improvement in the blood supply of the teeth, to a decrease or reduction of the inflammatory processes of the mucosa and to the restoration of trophicity (http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/trophicity) of the tissues.
This also leads to normalization of the production of dentine, which protects the teeth, and plays a role in the preventive maintenance of the teeth and in arresting the development of caries. During the first few days of using the device, short-term gum bleeding may appear or increase, as a result of the thrombolytic action of the millimeter waves. It is then is compensated by a coagulating effect of ultraviolet emission, that occurs in this initial stage of EI support to anti-inflammatory action due to improvement in the microcirculation is increased (supplemented) by the formation of small numbers of oxygen radicals and hydrogen peroxide. All this explains the effect of “fresh breath” in the mouth and the appearance of a pleasant pink color of the gums.
Construction of the device
The device is contained inside of an elongated housing of a rectangular-cylindrical shape. The EHF- emitter and the UV- light-emitting diodes are located inside the cylindrical part of the device, which resembles a “trunk”. The EHF emission is in the plane of light-emitting diodes. The electronic controlling block and the battery compartment are located in the rectangular housing. The device is powered by two small batteries of the AAA type. The “turn on” button of the device is located in the rectangular part of the housing in a recessed location. With a twice a day use of the device, small alkaline batteries (like DURACELL™, Energizer™ or similar brands) should last for one month of operation.
